Whack-a-Mole — free online tapping game

Moles pop out of nine holes and duck straight back down. Tap them before they do. Golden moles are worth five, bombs cost you points, and ten hits in a row starts a combo bonus. Sixty seconds, or two minutes if you want a longer run. Free in your browser and made for fast fingers.

How to play

1. Tap a mole while it is up to score.
2. A brown mole is worth 1 point, a golden mole is worth 5.
3. Never tap the bomb — it takes 8 points and resets your combo.
4. Five hits in a row adds a bonus, ten in a row adds more.
5. Choose 60 seconds or 2 minutes before you start.

Tips

• Rest your thumbs near the middle row. Everything is within reach from there.
• Golden moles stay up for less time than brown ones. Go for them first.
• Missing a mole breaks your combo too, not just hitting a bomb — so do not get greedy.
• Late in a round two moles appear at once. Take the golden one and let the brown one go.
