Mine Hunt — free online Minesweeper

The classic Minesweeper, rebuilt for touch. Open every safe square without setting off a mine. Each number tells you how many mines touch that square, and from there it is pure logic. Your first tap is always safe, so no game is lost on the opening move. Three board sizes from a quick nine-by-nine up to a proper challenge.

How to play

1. Tap a square to open it. The number shows how many mines touch it.
2. Long-press a square to plant a flag where you think a mine is.
3. Or switch on Flag mode and tap normally.
4. Tap an opened number that already has all its flags around it to open every remaining neighbour at once.
5. Open every safe square to win — you do not need to flag them all.

Tips

• Start in the middle. Opening a blank area clears a big region and gives you something to work from.
• A 1 with exactly one unopened neighbour means that neighbour is a mine.
• A number with all its mines flagged means every other neighbour is safe — tap it to clear them instantly.
• When the logic runs out, take the guess in a corner. Corners have fewer neighbours and better odds.
